Keep in mind that every other team will want these two wonders too.
@Aro - Yes, SoZ creates an ancient cavalry every five turns. A 3/2/2 +1 hp unit.

Pyramids are nice, but I'm not as much a fan of them as I used to be.
First off, worker pumps are great on their own. We already have lpans for 2 pumps, and I believe recently revealed food sources give us the possibility of more.
Second off, the Pyramids generally cost more than the handful of granaries necessary for pumps. Though they certainly are cheaper than building a granary in every city, and save on maintenance besides.
And third off, the Pyramids are, indeed, one of the first truly powerful wonders. Building them may well send off a signal of "Hey! We're doing well! Unite against us!"
Overall, the Pyramids are certainly a good thing, but I'm not sure we want to tie up the early production required to build them. If we get a SGL that would change things, but otherwise I think we should save the wonders for the Middle Ages.

another problem with the pyramids is that by the time you've built it, you could have built granaries in all your early cities anyway, and for less shields. So you either "waste" all those shields spent on granaries, or you hold off building granaries, slowing your REX, so as to get them for free when the pyramids finally get finished.
Also, "Pyramid" is the name of one of the applications I support at work, and I dont want to be reminded of this when playing Civ!!!! :-D
Overall, unless we get ivory, I say wonders are not wroth it. The Collosus is nice, but obsolete fast & need coast, and the GL is fantatic, but not so useful in MP where the opposition conspire against the team that builds it..

The Collosus obsoletes with flight. Not too fast in my opinion.

Well, it must have been an early expiring wonder. Perhaps the Temple of Armenis or the Oracle? Maybe the Great Library?
