Republicans flipflop too much to be called "Fascists". They are corrupt, petty opportunists with no vision for the future. They are the political equivalent of the ant, not the grasshopper.

While I am not a card-carrying member, I do associate myself with the Republicans. So I have now been called a fascist, a flip-floper, corrupt, petty and short-sighted in just two post.

Me thinks you two have a very unrealistic perception of Republicans; or, in the very least should probably stop with the generalization and get to know them better.

If I were whiny or thin-skined you'd think I have been far more agressive than I was (especially considering the "OMFG Republican-War Monger will kill us all!!!11!!" mentality that alot of liberials have). I just found it ironic that liberials, who want to consider themselves as excepting and open minded, would delve to the level that they ridicule so much. Thus the smiley.

Neither do I. I was stating the liberials tend to be open-minded and accepting of other people, their beliefs, customs and opinions. I didn't mention anywhere about their opinion on how to run a country.

I just found it hypocritial that most liberials (generally) spout acceptance unless it has to do with conservatism.

No, the fascistic mind seeks to label political opponents unpatriotic, or in this case, un-American. Alva's post quoting Goering is what I'm talking about, although Goering correctly points out how this tactic is and can be used in any political system. Fascism, or the mindest of the fascist, is older than Mussolini et al, but fascism has become the modern example.

If you can, see them in a small venue. They played at the Double Door in Chicago eight years ago. The DD used to have secret tickets for their Fri Night shows. You would go pay $10 without knowing who was the act that night. One night it was the Stones. If you can get to Chicago when they are in town, go to a place called the Kingston Mines. It's a blues bar on the Northside the Stones frequent when in Chi-town.

IIRC, on their last tour or this one, they wanted to play more small venues.
