Pggar was heavily involved in round one with CBR. He was president in Term I and (I think) Term II. Bremp was the president in Term III. JokerDF led CBR in Term IV before he was banned from the ISDG. Master of Civ replaced him, I believe. That, or he was elected in the next term. Finally, Cassino led C3B at the end.

CBR had political parties too. For example, one party favored an alliance with CFC, while another wanted war (led by Cassino).

If RegentMan is there, use a different name. Pretend you are me or something. If they recignize your screen name, they will know that you have negitive feelings towards them already and guess (correctly) that we have preconcieved notions about them.

You got me. I think it was because we only had four people left in the game (GCA went bye bye already). It would make CFC look like they were trying to get to the finals not because they were good civ players, but because they got their way and kicked the last team out. So CBR got a forced anarchy and an 18gpt penalty instead.

I would love to be at the chat! I just hope that it's at a time I can attend. I will be gone next weekend. I should be able to attend any weekday day time (GMT -7) chat (except Wednesday). Although I think I read that someone was unable to do weekday chats, and they hold priority over me.

Yep, Donegeal is right. However, does passing as another player go against the rules? If not, I see no problem with it.

An IRC chat would be good since it is much better than MSN for multi-person communication. MSN is a good medium for a one-on-one exchange but once we have entire teams, it becomes rather inefficient.

Don't worry, I will lead the chat. It will be, however, for others to see how negotiations are handled in demogame diplomacy if they have not been involved in them. There's not much to it, mostly just keep a cool head, learn when to be blunt and when to be dodgy, and most importantly, know how to be dodgy.

Chats are also useful to make psychological profiles of the other teams and their members. You can easily tell when they are paranoid, when they are hiding something, sometimes you can even tell when they are lying. This is the part I find most fascinating about chats since they stretch your perception skills to the limit.

In 2 years of demogamedom I've been in chats between teams who want to kill each other, I've been in chats where we've had to hide the knife which is about to stab the people we are smiling at, and I've been in chats with crazy loons who can't control their outbusts of rage. It's all part of the job when you're in Their Consular Majesties' Foreign Service

Thanks, Master Zen. Seriously, I’m bad in diplomatic affairs. I can barely negotiate my own contracts with the newspapers where I work… they always pay much less then I deserve!

If not against the rules, and if you agree, I’ll conduct some conversation in Portuguese, too… Nothing serious, I just want to “feel the terrain” a bit...

No prejudices, for good and bad. Just the knowledge that we’ll have to eliminate them soon or later. And I’m pretty sure they will be thinking the same.
