Tolkien's elvish language was based on the gaelic welsh language(with influences from other celtic languages) - it was on the DVD directors cut i watched just the other day

there are two elvish languages in JRRT - quenya and sindarin. IIRC, Quenya is supposed to resemble Finish, and Sindarin, Celtic.

Desert is cool. Although flat stone desert is kinda boring.....at least you can view all the way to the horizon and can see great sky (sunrise/set).....Sand desert with red sand is great, looks like on Mars

you want to see some weird deserts go to Utah. They have some gray deserts. Looks like the surface of the moon. I never saw anything like that before in Utah. it was on the way to capitol reef national park I believe.

I thought that Tolkien's languages were based on old Finnish?

Before anyone starts counting the emotional cost of this phase of the disengagement or even wipes his brow in relief remember that there is still the West Bank to deal with.

A) this guy has no organization behind him. He even says that he has nothing against the people he killed. So he's even not a hate murderer. Just a murderer.
B) "The whole world is up in arms" blah blah blah. Yeah, really up in arms.

This is step in the right direction. Those settlers are a real liability for Israel. You should kick em out of Israel as well if they play up. They're an embarrassment.

Otoh its not their fault on another level. The only reason they're in Gaza, Jerusalem, the Golan Heights and the West Bank is because of some pretty unjust and cynical policies promoted by the Zionist right of Israeli politics - to create a "Greater Israel" and make it permanent by creating "facts on the ground". That policy has been dead in the water for years. And quite right too.

Once all the settlers are out you can make a start on compensating the millions of Arabs who had their land and homes stolen since 1948.

Otherwise, I mean if there isn't a just peace, I fear that one day Israel won't exist. Its just a matter of time.
