I came across this very chilling reading of a man’s journal as he and his friend discovered a virgin cave and attempted to reach another entrance or the cave’s end point. The journal starts out fairly slow but after reading a few entries you won’t take your eyes off the screen. If you have intense claustrophobia and fear of the dark and unknown, I wouldn’t recommend reading this.

What I mean is do they just build up atmosphere to the end without anything happening, or does something happen? Do they discover who screamed?

As far as I can tell, it's unfinished. Whether that's an intentional tease, or whether he just got bored of putting it up on the net, or whether it's technical problems, I don't know.

I read this a couple weeks ago... it's good.

spoiler(highlight to read): But it gets a little bit too silly in some spots. the constant forgeting to bring the camera back, or the crutial photos not turning out, ect... really ruined the whole thing in my opinion.

Meh, that's just stupid. I was hoping that he just sucked at html.

I think he could have put a little more effort into faking the photos, or just not bringing the camera into the story at all. It wouldn't be difficult to carve a symbol in a rock.

This receves a 6.5/10 for internet entertaining-ness. A decent score.

yeah I admit I didn't read it, aside from the first few sentences.

I just have trouble believing anything I read over the internet. So unless the story is funny in some way, I'm not that interested.

I really liked it but my opinion was probably swayed because I was reading the story during the middle of the night while my neighbor's tree branch was scratching slightly against my window and the skylight was creaking from evening temperature/pressure changes.

I found another good scary story. If anyone wants to read it, I can post it. It'll take me a white to find it again though
