And then if I'm right about that - what else am I right about?

Your guess? Is that the best you can do? guess?
See, I don't have to guess, I know for a fact that more Iraqis are dead as a direct result of your intervention - that soldier is dead because of the policies you support! If we hadn't invaded he would still be alive, as would countless thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians...

You just hate me because you don't want to admit you're wrong. Perhaps I make you feel stupid because you have no counter to my arguments? I'm guessing that is why the more I try to pin you down and get you to answer my points, the more personal and insulting you get...
So insult away...

Why should I bother to comment something that a whole thread has done ? Oh, and that thread proved you wrong, so you have no reason to gloat.

No, you don't KNOW that, you think that you know according to your wiew. Of course you are right that the danish soldier is dead because of his job in Iraq, but he is not dead because of the policy - he is dead because some people don't want Iraquis to decide for themself.

Actually, I don't hate you - I can't remember anyone that I actually hate, I just find you quite funny and amusing because you are so far out that it is diffcult to give sensible answers to your rants. The problem with you is that you don't make sensible claims that it is possible to make comprehensible ansers to. PH claims that you are qiute reasonable in RL, but sorry to say it, you haven't demonstrated it here.
Funny thing, I have already a pretty good imagination of what you will answer

So your refusal to comment means that you don't believe that more time has elapsed since 9/11 and now, than the amount of time that the US was at war in WWII?
And no I haven't been proved wrong basically because no one appeared to be able to address Ted Striker's points, which are the essence of my thread - seems all the righties ran away when they ran out of answers as usual...

Anyone without their head buried in the sand for the last few years knows full well that many more Iraqis are dying now on a day to day basis than when under Saddam's control in the run up to the invasion and that figure is accelerating!
Currently five times as many according to that article and that is not including the untold number of innocents that must have died during the invasion...
Actually I suggest he is dead precisely because some Iraqis did decide for themselves.

What is difficult to comprehend?
They are perfectly easy questions to answer. It is just that you choose not to by attempting to pour scorn on them. Classic evasion tactics.

You mean stop squirming and answer the questions!
Wow, you're clever...

No, you're just fanatically opposed to any war where your neighbours might get shot, all the while being perfectly willing to sit idly by and let hundreds of thousands of 'them' die.
Whose live is worth more, mob? That fellow from Manchester or Birmingham, or those 10 or 100 from Iraq or Sudan?
Why do you shriek so when something is done that will result in fewer deaths over time? |
Why is it when anyone argues on Poly they automatically assume they know exactly what the other person is thinking!!?
You have absolutely no clue...
The main reason I condemn outright the war in Iraq was that when you have limited resources (even the US has limited resources, as Iraq has proved!), you have to pick and choose your fights accordingly...
Firstly you need to prioritise: Afghanistan!
Secondly you need to be consistent: Sudan!
In the list of priorities Iraq shouldn't have even been on the radar, there were other nations to deal with first like NK, Iran etc...
Now with so many troops sucked into Iraq, we would find it extremely difficult to intervene anywhere else - so no, in the short term huge numbers are dying in Sudan (and Iraq) and will continue to do so in the long term because we have our hands full actively trying to make things worse for ourselves - in the long run! More people will die overall by intervening in Iraq and not intervening in Sudan!
quote: I'd be all for an armed intervention in the Sudan, for one of the reasons that I was all for Bush and Blair going into Iraq. It will save lives over the long run. Would you be for it? Or are 'they' not worth it? |
You know, I always thought genocide took priority over an illegal regime change any time - but what do I know...?

So what are you trying to say? See, evasion again. Just answer rather than make personal attacks.
And as for my opposition of war, what it is achieving at the moment? Civil war in Iraq, no capture of OBL and yet has dealt with very few issues going on. But before we even get this far we need to get back to basics, the cause of these problems. Who was it who originally backed OBL? Who originally backed Hussein? Are we seeing a correllation yet? You may think you are the knight in shining armour of the planet, but the reality is, you just cause more problems than you solve. And quite often, don't even solve anything! And you really expect me to have belief in your imperialist wars of conquest in being something but that?
I am curious but why do all the Danes at this place seem to be screaming righties? Do we have any lefty Danes present?
