to let us say that we're no responsible for things we've done or words we've said anymore. Does doing something when You're 16 y.o. has anything to do with You when You're 24, 32, 40? After what time can we forget about something we've done without feeling we're doing wrong?

I have no regrets. But I hate it when people who have these perfect memories can remember stupid things you said when you were a teenager, and still hold it against you. . Yeah I was typical in that I thought I knew everything back then. But now I'm sure I know everything.

A card layed is a card played.
Best you can do is learn from it, but that doesn't wipe it out of existence.

Making amends might help put to rest your regrets. The person to whom you slighted 20 yrs ago may not even remember the incident but it will help you forgive yourself and put it to rest.

Making amends does not have to be something you do in person if it will be something to get you in legal trouble. Doing something annonymously to counterbalance the scales to make up for the wrong will do.

Make any sense?

as to the topic... the answer is really never.
esp if you choose to live in home town where you
went to school.
moving to new city will give a fresh start..

part of the reason my son wants to move to chicago.
hes 21 and tired of running into high school buddies
or fans of the bands he has quit...

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Some things stay with you forever.

Depends on your concience.

Clinical psychopaths, for example, lack sympathy and empathy, so they can do bad things and never worry about it.

Hence my suggestion to make amends and get it off your conscience if at possible.

Look inside yourself. Was it a mistake, and if so, are you going to repeat it? If not, then let it go. Why torture yourself over some stuff that happened long time ago. If it's not a murder, or similar serious crime.. then you have nothing to worry about anymore. It's not worth it. What do you gain from it? Nothing.

So .. just let it go already. People change.. good folks can become buttwipes. But buttwipes can become good folks. So just make sure what you are now and in the future is not the stupid, but good. And if you can do that, then all is forgiven. And if some person tries to give you problems from things in the past, take them out, one way or another. Simple and yet works. Simple works.

We are always responsible* for things we say and do. You cannot take words back that came out from your mouth, nor can you erase the consequences of your actions. You can only come to grip with these. Understand that we are all humans and we all make mistakes.
