Although a nice plan (on paper), there is at least one wrench to be thrown into the machinery. When Lortbekk produces 3 spt, 2 will go to corruption. The way to determine this is fairly simple (at least in this particular case)...lift the laborer in your copy of the save and place him on a tile that produces the requisite shields (in other words, place him on trees and you will see what happens to Lortbekk when it goes to 3 spt).
Now...as for trying to obtain that extra shield in order to double Lortbekk's output (always a nice thing, as all productions come at twice the speed), it may be possible to place a laborer on forest AFTER growth (delaying growth to size 3, as a consequence) and, therefore, getting 4 spt (of which, possibly, only 2 will be lost).
As for the roading of the forest, chopping the bugger down would cost only a small delay, as building a road to a forest tile takes twice as long anyways. I recommend chopping the dye forest and then roading.
See below for confirmation of 2 lost shields.
