This chat was very interesting, didn't really come out as we expected though this is perhaps not necessarily bad. In a nutshell

1 - They are glad we accepted their proposals

2 - They were open with us and told us that they have met a 3rd civ and upon questioning told us that it was CDZ.

3 - When asked about the possibility of not telling them they have contact with us they reacted with suspicion. That was understandable though as it is kind of sneaky even though we explained the logic behind it (well, just the logic we want them to know, not our real logic).

4 - We started sowing the seeds of paranoia about CDZ being an aggressive team that their UU is the Mounted Warrior. It began working well until...

5 - Discussion began on the possibility of a MPP against CDZ. We told them we would be interested later on once we had more knowledge about our continent and the threat that CDZ could pose.

sounds logical right?

6 - CDZ got VERY suspicious about us wanting to wait until we knew about the geography. They kept asking why it was important to know geography to asses the threat of CDZ.

umm... wierd huh?

It's like asking for the price of a TV and having the salesman start acting paranoid about why on earth you want to know the price of something before buying it. At least to our team it seemed natural to wait until we had better geo-strategical knowledge, but CBR reacted rather surprised by this

All in all I get the impression that Wosret is somewhat pro-Apolyton, or at least trustworthy of us. On the other hand Pggar seems to be very wary, not to the point of hostility, but seems to take everything we say with caution (then again, knowing us, they aren't stupid).

We have agreed to send them a written treaty with the proposals soon (i.e. tomorrow). Let's see if us agreeing to the NAP soothes them down a bit.

Basically we have to decide if we want to kill CBR or CDZ first; or whom would be the most dangerous of the two to us at some point.

Bingo. In a game like this, geography means better war plans. They know that, they are in the final round for some reason, and that includes cheating

Well, they did want to trade screenshots.....

Interesting and a bit frightenig tat the other civ is CDZ. I suspect that this will create many problems, both Diplomtically and In respect to defence.

CBR may suspect that they are between a rock and a hardplace (literally) and will be looking to one or the other for MPP (if not both).

I think that we need another discussion thread, dealing with CDZ.

I think that we would profit much if our diplomats could somehow engineer a war between CDZ and CBR in which we would take no part.

We could nominally support one side, say CBR and then at some point simply switch sides, but just in time to take part in the plunder. In fact, it would be extremely beneficial if CDZ broke and destroyed CBR, as CBR is potentially more dangerous opponent (given their seafaring and tough early medieval defender).

Well, this is a different point of view...

I don’t believe it's possible to us start a war between those guys unless we are directly involved since the beginning. Otherwise, CBR (or CDZ) will not buy it. I don't know much about CDZ, but I doubt they are noobies, as well CBR. About this one, I'm pretty sure they aren't. Pggar and Wosret, to mention just two, are very suspicious... a word out of place and they start to ask questions.
