Well, Civ IV is about to be published in a couple of months. I'm hoping it won't suck and I'm planning to buy the original right away.
It will be a bit pricey for me, but I figure what the hell. I really disliked Civ III and I haven't played a decent computer game in years, so I'm going to afford myself this as soon as it's out.
But I mean as soon as possible. I know that there are many Civ players here from Europe, so I'd like to hear your strategies. Is it best to order via Amazon (how long till they deliver, and do they get copies as soon as they are published?) or is some other retailer better choice? Or will perhaps some European chain have it as soon as in USA? Is European release simultaneous?
Or should I think about finding someone in US to buy it in brick and mortar store and ship it to me?
What do you plan? I have to emphasize, I want the game as soon as possible.

Yeah, I guess it will be on torrent the day it is out. But I want the whole expirience, plus it will be easier to patch and so on.

I think it will rock. They've had the same people working on it and they can't screw up twice. That's how I am, I trust people. Civ IV is gonna rule.

I can't believe publishing houses can be so dumb. Civ III supposedly sold in over 3 million copies  , so it's obvious this will go like crazy.

One think I absolutely can't stand are idiots who need to preach on the internet. I'll name no names. reds4ever did not encourage piracy, merely stated his opinion.
