Final line to laptop. Last help please! Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

All are tuned.
Two last questions.

1. I have a DVD and a very old Sony television. I hooked the DVD using scart. I can't see matrix etc because the sound of the voices is too low and the sound of special effects too high.

Probably because of something. Does this thing happen in a laptop? I guess not but just to be sure.

2. DVD+-RW. That's what it says. Does this mean it is a dual layer or not? Probably not. Does it hurt if it isn't a dual layer? And film DVDs can be copied there? Or are they double layer?

Thank you.

Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Some movies are double layer, like LOTR, and some are not. But I guess you could copy LOTR on a single layer DVD, without all the extra material.

DVD+/-RW does not necessarily mean that it's Dual Layer--

Generally, all DVD drives are capable of reading Dual Layer discs--most movies are Dual Layer (it's likely that even the basic LOTR versions are Dual Layer). If you're having trouble, odds are either the disc is scratched, or your DVD drive is bupkiss.

The trick is that not all DVD drives can read DVD+/-RW discs, and even fewer may be capable of reading DVD+/-RW DL discs. Also, DVD+/-RW generally only refers to burning capability, not read capability; if you can burn a second layer, your drive will have the DL addition.

Full PM-box? Change here!

If you're buying a relatively new laptop, you should be fine--modern drives are all capable of reading DVD+/-RW discs; most are probably capable of DVD+/-RW DL discs as well.
