Like I should care what The 50 worthless alderman in Chicago's City Council think. Most of them are Daley lap dogs and have no spines.

However, thanks for the link... I would have missed this classic part of the story that I only briefly heard on the radio this morning...

Cajuns are the decendents of the former French colony of Acadia (hence Acadians --> Cajun), who were expelled by Britain after the French and Indian War (called the Seven Year's War in Europe)from what is today called Nova Scotia. They settled in the French colony of Louisiana and have a distinct culture, still speak French to some extent, and have a unique style of cooking and music that is very popular in the U.S.

Iraq is in no danger of being overrun by the insurgents. As long as we're there, they have no incentive to work out their own internal problems. The Americans will fix everything.

Anyway, it's better for the world that we get defeated. Next we'd be invading Cuba or Venezuela.

But back to the topic... The story lists other cities that have done something similar. One of the "towns" is Evanston, a suburb of Chicago. And I can only ask... who the hell cares what they think? This is a case of local politicians having WAY TOO MUCH free time on their hands. There must be more important local issues for them to be dealing with... or maybe it's because they suck so much, they want to distract people from the real local issues
