Did you all miss me? I took a three month leave of absence from poly in order to concentrate on real life. I’ve started playing guitar and I'm back to working as a geologist though I still haven't given up on the idea of a nice cushy government job. The policeman's job didn't work out for me so I decided to go back to a career field I had experience in. Can you believe they won't let you be a cop if you've ever smoked weed at all in your life? That's right, the president can snort cocaine like a madman and be an alcoholic but if you smoked MJ at a party 9 years ago you are just a criminal who’s unfit for law enforcement. Oh well.

So how's everybody doing? Have Che and Theban found jobs yet? I noticed Sava is back so it is good to see nothing bad happened to him. Has Lancer convinced all the single guys to marry Philippinas yet? Is Drake still an unrepentant fanboy of the administration beyond all reason and logic? DanS, don't think I have forgotten our bet about how huge Bush's deficits will be for 2005. It was running at -$350 billion before Katrina and now we'll be giving Halliburton another $200 billion so it is looking like you’ll be wrong by at least a factor of two. It’s ok; you can still make a thread explaining how it isn’t really that bad.

I'm open to any suggestions people might have for what DanS's new avatar should be.

On another note it is amazing how you can redecorate your entire house at IKEA without using much money. Yes, I have redone my house with Ikea home furnishings. Nothing says welcome to the rat race like crappy Swedish flat packed furniture. I’m once again single! I had a girlfriend then found out she was slightly psycho and very racist so I decided to dump her. Did I miss anything interesting here?

I'm teaching a class again (this is my second semester in gaining teaching experience) at the same community college as last semester.

I have been seriously working out at a local fitness center and have tried to make more healthy choices in snacking and meals.

And as always, my friends and family in real life appreciate my sense of humor while it rarely shines through here on Apolyton for some inexplicable reason.

I remember you saying you were studying to be a teacher. It's good to see you're still working your way towards that goal. I've taken up a running and weight lifting routine too. I'm still a long way from running a marathon but I've lost 20 pounds and I feel better.
