Happens ALL the time. But even in the best case scenario if I pointed out the worst, she'd be still making few hundred more. Whopee. It even doesn't make a real difference.

And hells yeah it's possible to make 1500E. 1600E is union recommendation for starting salary. That means, if you don't take the job that offers you less than that, you're up for the benefits in unemployment. IF it's more than the minimum, you turn the job down, you won't get the benefits.

What I'm saying here Az is, that it doesn't mean crap the whole minimum thing.

There are ots of rich places which have virtually no natural resources and these days resource extraction makes up only a tiny share of total economic activity. Finland needs to liberalize its economy and find a way to encourage more start up companies. Most of the start ups will either fail or will remain small companies but a few will get the market conditions right and they'll become the next Nokia.

Oerdin, this we know. We also know how to help the starting companies. But we just don't. It means lowering the taxes on small businesses.. it doesn't encourage you to try when the markets are first of all kind of small, and then state takes half of yours away by default.

So we need to do that, everyone talks about it, except our dear leaders, mainly from SDP (no surprises there) and the Centre Party (again, no surprises here). The problem is that these two dominate year after year and nothing chages.

So we'll just go on forever with this kind of not-doing-anything-to-improve.
