Honestly, I'm not sure what's funnier~ that he's trying to gain political capital by linking the death and destruction of New Venice to the Global Struggle Against Violent Extremism, or that he's saying that Amreicans value human life and every person as important?
The former's just... well, bizarre, and the latter's just a bald-faced lie.
My head hurts, and it's not low blood sugar this time. Discuss.
