I think something weird happened at Apolyton but I find I minimise my surfing problems by not using a proxy and ALWAYS updating every visit to each page.

There was a mini-crash yesterday. Some posters lost their log-ins, post history, etc. Posts disappeared too, apparently.

If by some chance you are having problems with your log on, please email MarkG at MarkG@apolyton.net and provide him with the email address that was used to register the account. A lot of log ons got trashed, so it may take him a little bit to catch up.

well we all the admins are too busy to ever pop into Multilayer area to actually give us a reason for their site crashing !!! I wonder if they actually get anytime to paly civ at all

The Admin do pop into the Civ forums every once in awhile... as evidenced by the threads they start and some responses they make. But you are right, they are very busy trying to improve the site so that we have a better place to come to. Plus, they both have real lives too

While many may be interested in what happened, their primary concern was getting the site back to normal, and fixing all the problems with memberships that the crash caused.
