Turn Complete
I had a hell of a time with this, when I saved the turn, I lost it, found it, zipped it (I think, this was my first zip as I only downloaded winzip tonight) and then I hope, sent it.
I need help on what to do after I press save and exit at the end of my turn. Should I just click okay and if so where will it go. I tried to put it in the "saves" dir but could not find it there....
Anyway thanks for the shard hovertank, this was a nice "newbie" bonus.....
Also, I had a night meeting and was 5 hours late getting home - you can expect me to turn much quicker in the future. I would love to find a way to do two turns a day.

Lord Zod,
When you click "End Turn", the next player's name shows up at which point you click Save&Exit.
By default, the saved game will retain the previous name, and will be written in the SMAC main directory (F:\SMAC for me). If you wish to save it somewhere else, just select the appropriate directory (I have one called PBEM under the Saves directory). Remember to change the file name per MoSe's guidelines.
Then, use WinZip to compress the save like I explained to you by e-mail, right click on the ZIP file, select "Send To / Mail Recipient", enter the e-mail address and send your message.

This one came in late so I did it this morning. Generally, however, if turns come in after midnight I will not around until after 5pm the next day. That would be at least a 17hr delay. I hope our play windows are staggered enough that we won't see this happen often.
This was around a 10 hour delay. Oh well....

I wrote Flomeise's e-mail on a sticky note as weinerf instead of wienerf. This just might explain why I have had trouble sending the turns!
It is now 4:16am here, woke up from sound sleep because of dialog popup box in dream. SMACed silly.......thought I might as well get up and finish a turn......goodnight.
Hey its Saturday lets do two turns....but alas, it is not to be as A RED H RAN DRUNK and will be asleep for hours..

I have all files coming and going. MariOne, do you need them? Lets get going, I've done about 300 SP turns since my last post. I think you guys are just playing Diplomacy or some such. Aredhran probably just mucked it up when he was drunk anyway. Big deal, lets go. Can the game be reset so that if anyone screws around with it in the future it will show up? What do you think Flomeise? Are you alive Flomeise? Hello!

Sorry, but I hadn't the time yet to comply with my cMn duties, I thought hey giv'em few turns to go.
I checked now the file .SAV I sent to Lord Zod. I played it along for a couple of rounds.
IT DOESN'T REPORT ANY *CHEATED* TAG IN THE SCORE OR ELSEWHERE!!!
The first feedback .sav I got from you is PK turn 2131 from Aredhran's Morgan. It reports the cheating. At first look, I can't say which irregularity has been done: it could simply be activating the editor to look at the whole map and the switch back, that wouldn't result from a .sav, would it?
So I see myself forced to ask you to send me all the incoming and outgoing Erewhon.sav you kept stored. Of course, I understand it could have been made accidentally, at least we could pinpoint the moment at which it occurred, and restart from there.
Otherwise if you can wait till monday, I'll try to replay 3 turns the way you did, maybe I can correct the scenario where it showed to be uninteresting, and start again.

I will send the files tonight. I hope Aredhran understands that I did not mean to in anyway point a finger at him in my earlier post. I was just joking around to make light of the thing. More than likely it is a bug or a mistake, and if it was a mistake, I probably made it since I am the newbie. I doubt that Firaxis has made this thing tamperproof.
I canceled on the save and exit screen a couple of times on the first turn because I was confused about where to save the turn. See my earlier post. Other than that I think it has been by the book on my end.
More thoughts but no time....

Whose turn is it! Sign me up for 16, heck make it 32! Sixty four PBEM games! One hundred twenty eight! It was my intention not to role play the faction nor the faction leader, Lord Zod, but to role play the First Consul to the Gaian leader, jimmytrick. Now I'm so bored I think I'll role play Monica, bi-sexual lover of Hillary, wife of Bill, who, just to keep things straight, is secretary to the Second Consul of the Gaian Planetary Empire. And who is currently the Second Consul of the GPE?
