What if i don't wanna share one particular tech? OK,AI also rarely share Special Projects techs,but sometimes it sold you for 100 EC. What if i bump into you early and AI offers Loyality for 100 EC ? I would certainly buy it if negotiations between humans are available. Thats a problem in PBEM games. You play against real people and all diplomacy is handled by AI.
I might have more money,but you might have stronger army. Imagine you've found my Commlink from the Unity pod. You conntact me,AI offers you Peace Treaty,you refuse,AI offers you 150 creds for it.
Now i am 150 creds sorter,you're 150 creds richer,no matter we have large ocean between us and early invasion is virtually impossible.
That sort of things i am trying to avoid. But if you guys have some idea,go ahead

Well, my location isn't that good. I have not explored evertyhing yet so I might be just on the tip of a decent continent. I'm all the way to the north, at the North Pole! I put my starting colony pod in my starting foil to find a continent to colonize. My HQ does have a monolith.
I am just going to deal with it. It is not as bad as it sounds!

In terms of diplomacy, we agree that we will only contact each other when we meet each other's factions, right?
Once we do meet each other's factions, I think we should be allowed to conduct human-human diplomacy. That is whole point of PBEM, isn't it? Especially, since it is so much better than single player diplomacy.

I confess, I don'r really see the problem

edit: I saved it from the menu rather than from the save and exit option once you click end turn. If you get a message saying I'm tampering with an old save and possibly cheating, it's because I had to reopen the save.

Hive: I was experimenting with MP diplomacy and contacted Lal already. Re-reading our posts revealed something to me. Diplomat said we shouldn't contact each other before we actually meet each other. I wasn't sure what is he talking about because i have absolute zero multiplayer expirience.
Anyway...i forgot about it,contacted him (and you,but got no reply from you) and that's it. I hope i didn't screwed something.

SmartFart: check the diplomacy screen for Lal by clicking on my comlink. I sent you a message and I don't think that the screen automatically pops up if it's just a statement only if there's an offer. (one of the many MP bugs, I'm afraid)

Another friendly reminder about MP diplomacy: NEVER click "accept deal" when you first offer something. The other player could simply click "accept deal" too which would seal the deal without giving you want you might have requested. The person who initiates an offer or demand should always be the last to hit "accept deal".

The game is becoming more and more fun!
