Unfortunately, yes.
I've found that speed is of the essence in a pure momentum game. A Unity Rover, 50 ec, or a special could have seriously helped me out in my position, speeding up my war machine by as much as 10-15 turns. Now I'm behind 11 turns.

You said we would need more than 1 game to test this subject, if this is true, next game we play i would like to play as hybrid with pirates, but on another note the the original SMAC game isnt going anywhere fast, i still havnt gotten turn 1

Okay, I got an email from Enigma today about game #1.. he said he sent the turn off last thursday and wanted to know where the game was.. if you didn't get it, Qual.. shoot him an email asking for it. I personally think he sent it to the wrong person.
