	New SMAC PBEM game Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

Well I am interested on starting a new SMAC PBEM game.
We will use SMAC 4.0 patch of course with standard rules, Librarian level and no less than 4 players but any recommendations are welcomed. I might consider playing Alien Crossfire (SMACX) in case most of you would prefer it.

I should take The Univercity under command of Provost Keygen.

OK we will play SMACX 2.0 (as you have already guessed), Huge Map of the Planet, Librarian level & Custom rules (Higher Goal, Total War, Peace in Our Time, Mine All Mine, One for All, Look First, Spoils of War, No Unity Survey, Bell Curve).
If you have any other suggestion post it here and I will think about it
I will wait a day for your reply and for one more player (if anyone shows up) and then I will start the game.

I would be for spoils off, as this is a special ability of the Consciousness. It is a definite disadvantage to my faction.

I'm with stuntman19. We should play with Spoils of War off. It's only fair, considering Techsteal is one of the Cyborgs special abilities.

Also, are you going to set the AI factions to random, or have you picked who they will be?

You are not alone, Black Sunrise. This will be my first MP game. So all you MP veterans, please forgive any newbie MP related questions that I come up with.

Stupid strategy and tactics on my part should not be forgiven. They should be punnished. Severly.

Hello Black Sunrise. Actualy this is my first SMAC/SMACX PBEM also. I have only played an online multiplayer game once one and a half year ago and some Call to Power PBEMs from the begining of the year (2000). So only Stuntman19 and Nanuk are old SMAC players

OK Stuntman19 you are right. Spoils of War will be off.

I am thinking to have the Aliens or the Spartans & The Cult of Planet for the AI. I would like your opinion in this matter.

I like the line-up that you have. The Aliens are strong enough under the AI's control to at least be interesting in the early game.

Thanks for accepting my request first of all. I think if the aliens are in the game it may encourage more diplomacy between the human factions, since the aliens start more powerful. I may be wrong though, and it doesn't really matter to me who the AI are.

It might also be a good idea to have a turn thread to help keep track of where the turn is. The Player taking the first turn could start it, whoever that ends up being. Other than that I sounds like were ready to get underway, so good luck to all.
