Please disregard this message in light of Stephen's following post.
I loaded the file I received as I do the files of ACT029, yet Alpha Centauri brought it up in 'Map Editor' format. I saw the entire map, every other player's pieces, and had the ability to alter the terrain at will. I was able to complete a full turn (influenced by my knowledge of the environment), but feel it pointless to carry on.
Tau Ceti: please remove me from this game and substitute someone else in it. For the moment, please replace any future games you had in mind for me with a random map on AC by a game on AX (random or planet), with my previous choices or the drones as is most suitable

I apologize, but I think there was something messing up the way that my copy of the game was saving files. I discovered that when I'd load saved games, they would automatically be in edit format. I suspect that this is what happened. I've since re-installed the game and everything is working fine now. Again, I apologize.

Don't worry Stephen, but I think it should be fair that we restart the game, seeing as I now have a complete map including all units and landmarks.
