He praised the workforce for their dedication in a ceremony opening the daycare and accodation facilities at factory 12. While most workers are enthusiastic about the new facilities, a vocal minority complained that it is part of a plot to pressure people into working even longer hours.

Report of Lieutenant Domai (Scout patrol Company B)


It is my duty to report an odd event. As instructed, our squad enetered the mysterious tower to investigate. While nothing of note was discovered inside, there was a weird effect on the squad. When we entered the main chamber there was a sudden high-pitched whine that came from all sides for approximately 1 second and all squad members report a tingly feeling all over. The doctor has checked out the squad and there were no ill effects. In fact each squad member is scoring precisely 12.5% higher on all measures of physical fitness, intelligence and creativity. Weapons accuracy and squad morale and efficiency have also improved. In fact I am pleased to upgrade the squads readiness from "Green" to "disciplined".

We have re-entered the tower (which we now call a monolith) several times since but have not been able to recreate the effect. Respectfully submit that a full science team be dispatched to investigate the possibility that this magical device can improve the effectiveness of other military units.

Foreman cbn read the reports outlining the factions status as compared with the rest of the world. The news was not good as the Drones trailed in all major indicators. The only good news was that, apparently, tech discoveries elsewhere were slowing while the Drones could expect a few more quick discoveries with regard to the basic technologies
