At last, after 2 years of reading these forums I send my post (second post actually). I really want to participate in (my first) MP session. I'm a newbie so please be patient with me and all those little bits of info that I don't know. As for the info required by Tau Ceti :
1. I don't mind playing SMAC or SMAX
2. I (believe) I can play at up to 4 games concurrently
3. I have absolutely no map preferences
4. Favourite factions are (in that order) : Cyborgs, UoP (with biogenetics as starting tech), Drones, Hive, Caretakers, Gaians, Believers. Aversions are : Peacekeepers, Morganites, Data Angels, Cult of Planet
5. I can participate at any difficulty level (until someone crushes me in which case I will have to revise my strategies)
And last but not least, I play that game not to win or lose (of course) but because I love it...
(I see a lot of posts from Europe so time lag won't be a real problem - or isn't that a problem at all ?!)

I am interested in playing the substitute for any dropouts of already established tournament games with at least 15 years played.

So if anybody needs a sub or if any faction will be deleted from a tournament game because of inactivity, I can take over. It doesn't matter to me if I take over a losing faction.

Any difficulty level fine. I prefer to play on either random maps or map of planet, but would also give a shot at the tournament map (never done this before). I would prefer not to play: Believers, Spartans, Hive, Pirates, Cult, Aliens. All other factions are good for me.

Hi, I've taken over in one tourney game, and I'd quite like to try up to another two. I'll play any level, any non-tournament map. Smac only. My faction preferences would be (sorry for being complex):

PKs, Gaians or Spartans on any map, any level.
Add UoP on transcend level.
On the Map of Planet I would prefer Deirdre (but then I imagine so will everyone else..)

Is there any new games forming any time soon?
I'm looking to try to get into a PBEM game, but I'm new to the multiplayer aspect of AC and I'm not sure where to start... (i've played single player a bit)
