Turn 2172 to the cyborgs

Emporer cbn contemplated the military reports before him. The Data Angels were sending troops into Hive territory and intelligence reports indicated that they were increasing probe production. Despite the finance minister's advice to continue building infrastructure, the emporer knew that he must deal with this threat. "As long as they continue to enter our territory, no unit or base is safe from their influence. They have uncanny powers of mind control. We must deal with this threat", he thought.
Later the same day, the emporer made an address to his people that was broadcast across Planet.
"My people, you are all aware of the hostility of the Data Angels to our way of life. This manifested itself several years ago when they declared vendetta upon us and used cruel probing devices upon one of our peaceful patrols. Despite this unprovoked agression, we have attempted to restore peaceful relations but all attempts at communication have been rebuffed.
We have rapidly mobilized a small force and can report the successful interdiction of several secret agents bent on causing harm to you, the people of the Hive. Now Angel military units have been spotted entering Hive territory. We are prepared and will defeat this invasion but it is also time for retribution. The Angels struck at our homeland and it is only just that we shall strike at theirs. An expeditionary force will be dispatched to deal with this continued agression. We can no longer sit back and wait to see where they will strike next. ".

Hive news has learned that a special communique was sent to all world leaders in the hours prior to the speech.
Honored Sirs
This is to confirm the reports that your intelligence services have no doubt provided you. The Data Angels have commited acts of vendetta against us and have rejected all peaceful overtures. Later today I will reveal the various Angel transgressions to my people and announce an expeditionary force to deal with this threat. I request that all world leaders condemn the actions of the Data Angels . All areas of Data Angels territory is hereby declared a war zone in which civilian traffic would be extremely hazardous. I invite all world leaders to join us in our police action. Failing that I ask for any support that you may wish to offer in the interests of containing this agressor.

In breaking news
Unconfirmed reports indicate that yet another Angel spy was killed today while attempting to cross into Hive territory. The 14th squad is credited with the victory.
A small group of Angel sympathyzers were arrested today when protesting against the war. A police captain, speaking on the condition of anonymity, indicated that the investigation has already produced evidence that these individuals were sent by the Angels to forment unrest.
Spontaneous demonstrations supporting the war effort broke out across the Hive territories today. Troops that are forming up into new units were mobbed by cheering crowds hailing the wisdom of cbn in initiating this action in the interests of the Hive citizens.

Turn sent to the newly elected governor of Planet! Congratulations Zaphod!
The Cyborg Perimeter Skirmish Group have noted troop movements by the Faction calling themselves "Planet Cult" near our most recent outpost. They seem to have adopted Planets creatures as their own, moving them through the Fungus, making them very hard to spot. The Commander of the CPSG noted that an altercation seemed inevitable as the Planet Cult seems impossible to reason with and moving their troops deep inside Cyborg territory, just at the perimeter of our cities.
Prime Function Cedronian, meeting with Senior Officers today, said that he still had hopes for a peaceful resolution, but failing that, the Cyborg troops are more that ready to cope with Planet Cult attacks. He also noted that the Planet Cult, with whom no diplomatic relations exists, all of a sudden, years ago declared vendetta for no reason. Up until now this has been thought of as "miscommunication" but the next few days will show if the Planet Cult has finally decided to act out their aggresive stance against our peaceful nation.
