This is my first tourney, so if i make a mistake, i'm sorry, and please advice me on it. BTW, since when do you have to add "www" in front of apolyton.net? no wonder i can't get into the forums these past few days...

I see the turn's made it to my altavista box. It's the middle of the night where I am...well, no, it's 04:52, actually, and I'll be off work in another hour. I'll play the turn and forward it to Skanderbeg when I get home.
Might as well start off with a bang: In AXT042, the other game I'm currently playing, we rendezvoused via icq and then played 17 turns in a couple hours via tcp/ip. Would you folks be interested in doing the same thing? Just scouting for interest level...
Anyway, thanks for the welcome, and I'll move the turn along shortly.

Skanderbeg's in Germany, and because of individual schedules, I think we'd have to shoot for some Sunday morning (U.S. time) to play. Iskandar, where are you located?
Mechanically, tcp/ip is easy, especially if you're not hosting. Just click Multiplayer, then tcp/ip instead of hotseat/pbem. You'll get an option to host or join, choose join. Then enter the ip address of the host (which will probably be me). Once we schedule a game, I'll send you all my contact and ip information, and we'll be ready to roll.

When my next free weekend comes up, then (don't hold your breath), we'll do some planning, but let's convince ourselves to enjoy pbem, 'cause it doesn't look like there's much tcp/ip in the near future. :-)

No idea. We'll have to wait to see how Iskandar replies to the situation.
If email is down but net access isn't, you could send him the turn via icq, agreeing on a rendezvous time via this board.
