	Tournament based on location? Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

I remember a bit ago people making a tournament in this forum with different teams based on different countries. A Australian team, or a German team, it sounded like a great idea. Whatever became of that?

It didn't happen. Tournaments are bastards to organise - as cavebear, having organised last year's big event, will attest. Even if it had got any further, I suspect time zone problems would have made it very difficult to complete.

Oh well, thats a shame. I like the idea of it though, i'd relish in the chance to prove the USA the best around. Of course we've got more players so a split would probably have to be made. Texas, South,, North, West perhaps (i think we've got a bunch from TX), it'd be fun kinda like the Olympics, representing our homeland to prove something to the world.

Ya. That was the thought behind the idea. It looked promising for a while but fizzled out. If only you Americans would shift your bloody clocks forward about 14 hours and join the real world.
