I admit I had loads of fun myself when he took my entire civ out in three or four turns. It is incredible what damage these PBs can do. It was my first experience with PBs ever and I will never ever not protect myself against them if I can...

I'll say it again: Anunikoba is a very reasonable guy and you can trust him.

The only way to 'fix' it permanently is to restart and not make the game a scenario. Since it seems to affect your gaming enjoyment, it may be the way to go, and I am certainly willing to do so. But as I am rather overworked at the moment, I cannot really say when. Also note that I have no control of the map in random starts, so I cannot replicate your starting positions or anything.

no,no, I'm against doing that.
I'd just like to know if anyone has tried what Tau Ceti proposed earlier on: to have a game with the same factions in the same order and enter that before entering our game, or something like that, I don't quite remember. Whoever has such a game file, please send it to me, or tell me how I can make one..

Professor cbn having emerged unscathed from intensive pschoanalysis due to his delusion that he was a Drone returned to his position as Chancellor to lead his people. the following is an exerpt from a faculty meeting.

" Provost we have had complaints from the engineering and geological faculties. They claim that all their students have been appropriated for field studies ordered by the Chancellors office"

Note-- sorry-- had to reload due to power outage ( probably caused by the snow and freezing rain that is falling here-- will spring ever come???)during my turn. When the power came back, I made a point of doing everything the same on the reload but that included the popping of two pods-- On the first the result was the same but on the second I got energy instead of some automatic terraforming (3 squares IIRC). I don't know what is considered more valuable so I thought I better post here. Is there a remedy?? Should I have reloaded multiple times to try to get the same results ? -- the terraforming(extra nuts) would be real helpful but so is energy. I sent the turn on since the difference in the pod pops was such that I don't think I gained an "advantage" but I would go back and play the turn over again as many times as necessary to create the same result if thats what needs to be done.

If there is a thread somewhere that tells you how to handle this type of thing let me know. While reloads do not happen often(this is my second in about a total of 100 turns across 4 games-- and in the other one I had not popped a pod or fought anyone so the reload raised no issue) I would like to be sure of what is considered the best way to handle these situations if and when they arise.


Any thoughts ?

Never saw anyone worry about that before. Crashes happen, and pod pops are random, so the usual practice is to replay the turn once and live with the results you get then, be they better or worse. Looks like people usually list the original and new results too, so this should be fine.

Don't you worry about your reload problem. Very considerate of you to discuss it in detail, but I don't think anyone has a problem with the situation as it is.

BTW: Does anyone know what the Native Life Level in this game is?
(No bloody worms around.....)

Thanks gang for the responses on my reload. I just wanted to be sure everyone was ok with it since I never had it happen before.

Rasta-- I assume average native life since nothing otherwise was stated that I can see in the game start notes. I have encountered worms if it is any consolation. I would send them your way if I could LOL.
