Yin,

Yeah. This is a good idea.

However, I'm not sure how much value the Launch Pad really has (i.e., whether people are actually using it). It seemed like a better idea in the other forum with all of the other topics, but since this forum is limited to ML topics, they are not as hard to find. As it stands right now, people are probably just going straight to the topic that interests them.

If there was some way to edit the posting date for the LP to a later date (say two or three months from now) so that it was always at the top of the forum, maybe more people would find the LP and use it.

And since my idea for a standard header for ML topics (including a link to the LP) went over like a lead balloon, people won't be finding it that way.

So, unless I get some kind of indication that it does have some value, I'm won't be maintaining the LP. I don't want to keep working on something just to show I can do it!

It has great value for one important reason at least: When somebody comes here for the first time, they will likely want to click on my FAQ at the top, which, of course, will lead them to your LP, which will lead them to all the topics in a very convenient way. The LP help acts as a shock buffer for new people--which is VERY important. Of course, we have no records of how much it is being used, but I think it's quite helpful. Please maintain it. Pretty please.
