In the wake of Curumbor's attempt at creating the standard MP modpack, I think such a task would warrant a diplogame! Cuz I am nutty for these games.
I think we should give this thing a substantial grace period, a lot of our top notch diplogamers are currently emersed in some pretty good Diplogames (Monday front, HOTW, New European Front etc.) so I don't think this should occur anytime in the immedeate future. But I have noticed that the more time and discussion that goes into Diplogames the better chance they have to survive, especially over bad times (HOTW itself has survived three problematic sessions or non-sessions). So I think it would be wise to determine what type of Diplogame we want as a group.
Who would be interested in this type of game? What rules changes? Everything! Just brainstorm the ultimate MP experience and that'll be our game. This MAY be a bit too early, the game I am in surely won't end for another month or two or three at least! So it might be a premature question, but I think if we begin this in May or June it would be more than enough preparation time, plus it would occur in the Summer where more time (should) be available for playing Civ (obviously with some understanding of vacations etc.)
So hit Cur's thread, suggest suggest suggest, come here and say what you think the ultimate parameters are and whatever. We've got time on our side, and I trust that this game could be as near to perfection as the human mind can conjur.
