Hey people. I was one of the first to get ToT and I played with it for a few weeks and.. well.. school started. I am just now getting back to the forum and I'm wondering if anyone has made any ToT scenarios yet? Especially a WWI or WWII one. I remember being incredibly excited at how great they would look and what possibilites there would be with a double/tripple/quadruple/whatever map! Pacific War! European War! Ooooh the possibilites! Has anyone come out with any scenarios for Tot? The Scenario League seems to have them only for normal CivII! Please tell me!

I'm making a ww2 scenario as fast as I can! I'm almost done with the German version, maybe 2 more weeks to go until playtesting. Are you interested?

Definately!! This will include the Pacific war as well, right? It is much easier with the multi-mapping... I hope you use the multi-mapping. I also recommend that you make special mini-scenarios like D-Day, Fall of France, Iwo Jima, Marshall Islands, you know special battles that might not take place on your average civ II game. I'd love to test! E-Mail me: Fantom2301@aol.com

Sorry, Pacific theater is not including. I ran out of slots in the units.bmp (in fact, I couldn't get everying in the european theater in that I wanted). There wouldn't be enough event space. It would be very hard to keep things historically accurate on both theaters. Turn would be twice as long than in normal ww2 scenarios (something everyone complains about). In addition, it would take way too much of my time.
But this scenario does use 2 maps. It has a map focused on europe from Gibraltar to Baku. The second map is of the Atlantic ocean with the US and Canadian coast.

Escape-from-Sol ToT Scenario is available from : http://www.users.bigpond.com/kestrel18
If anyone would like to play-test it I would be most appreciative, as I have yet to get any hard-core feedback on it.
Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback.
The situation you describe certainly doesn't sound right !
I suspect that you may have an older "buggy" version of the rules file (The 1.0 version allowed Engineers to build Teleporters too early). I think the version you should be using is Version 1.1, but I cannot currently check as I am having bigger problems. (My ISP appears to have inexplicably deleted or denied access to my web-page. This means that the site I referred to above is currently off the air until I can negotiate with the minions of the powers-that-be to reconnect me.)
I'd ask you to send me a saved game so I could try to figure out how they are building those teleporters, but as I am not currently connected to a web-site or E-mail address this is a bit difficult.
As a side issue, after Mars becomes increasingly inhospitable, evacuate to the Earth or to Venus. Only use the moon as a way-station, do not settle there as there is very little habitable terrain there (and it is prone to random meteoric impacts).

Actually it was intended - remember that Civ that got wiped out early in your game when you started out on Mars ?
I have set up the 'resurrection' positions in @INITIAL_SETTINGS to be on Earth for any Human Civ not in the initial Startup.
Thus, when a Civ is "killed' on Mars, a different Civ gets to live and enjoy the Earth.
In the paradigm of the game, Just because Mars was colonised it doesn't mean that the Earth is empty.
All the more reason to find those Martian Teleporters quickly and evacuate Mars in favour of the more benign inner worlds.
I didn't say it would be easy...
Note that I have a new version of Escape-from-Sol with some minor tweaks and some new events, but I am currently lacking a web-site on which post it.

Yeah, Escape from Sol is pretty cool.. I really am just more into historical/more real life scenarios! I am really rooting for a WWI/WWII scenario here!
