Another BIG request for 1.2 patch...
PLEASE add an utility to convert Civ2 (or civ2FW) scenarios in TOT format. Is it REALLY impossible?
TOT it's my first Civ game, and I won't buy another (earlier) version only to play scenarios...

I agree about the leader pics. We've been needing to be able to replace those from the beginning. Strange that everything else comes in from a bmp but not these pics. Kinda hard to take an alien seriously when they look some some famous human leader.
We need the map editor back with ability to resize (or at least crop down to smaller sizes or add more area to a small map) and import cut and paste. Luckily, I have the old map editor from CIVII Classic, so I can still make and edit maps.
The Goto and Automate functions need to be shored up just a bit. Its getting really irritating, especially when you get a big nation. I've basically given up on trade units because they never get to where they are going... and anyway the AI kills 'em as soon as they get near their targets (to keep you from getting trade benefits?) And its really frustrating when you say goto a certain city ten squares away and the guy takes off in the opposite direction. Definate hair puller there.
That's about it. I have to admit that I wasn't all that impressed with TOT when I first got it, but its grown on me. Being able to edit a great deal of stuff certainly helps.

Please fix the units' status bar colour,
now it's mixed with black and it's hard to tell which tribe a unit belongs to.
Technical explanation using RGB coordinates:
the "national" colour is mixed with black, RGB(0,0,0), so Babylonian Green RGB(0,255,0)
becomes Dark Green RGB(0,128,0) and it's very similar to Aztec's colour after black mixage RGB(128,128,0).
Another example: Roman white RGB(255,255,255) is turned into grey RGB(128,128,128).

In pathc 1.2, please fix a few of the easy to fix GUI bugs I've already posted about, including:
- Make it possible to use the keyboard to read the selected topic in the civilopedia
- change the alt key for the civilopedia menu selection from C to something else (CHEAT is already c).
ALSO, STOP the game when civ is minimized (included when it is minimized by the minimize-all-windows button. I did not appreciate missing full minute of battle while the window remains minimzed and cannot be restored.

"shaitan" is also used by Frank Herbert in his Dune books as one of the epithets for the giant worms.
I have another crazy request for the next Civ patch or even Civ III. How about being able to give units unique names? In Master of Orion II, you can give ships unique names. Of course, you wouldn't rename every warrior unit, just use the default title. I would use this for big stuff like battleships or specially captured units. I captured three dragons in the fantasy game by bribery, it would have been cool to give 'em some wierd name.
