John, Micropose, anyone who can help. Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

I installed the Patch for TOT today. I tried running a scenario I created. It worked for 5 Turns and then this happens

CIV2 caused a stack fault in module CIV2.EXE at 0137:0049c914.

I believe I read somewhere that you couldn't use the Scenarios made before the Patch. Is this true?

Unfortunately, yes.

It's not scenarios so much as save files (.SAV) and scenario files (.SCN). You must re-create the scenario file for it to work with the patch. Everything else you've done, however--graohics files, rules.txt changes, and all that--will work just fine. We tried to prevent this from being necessary, but some of the bugs we fixed were in the formats of the files.

Hey John, thanks for responding. I'm not to sure of the scenario now. After the scenario fliped on me, I uninstalled TOT. After I reinstalled it and tested it again, it still chrased. It did work without the Events.txt when I installed the patch but not with it.... Well guess I'll try again...

Just a hunch here, but from what you say it sounds like your events file has something screwy in it.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

Well, the scenario is working again. It seems there was a problem with the rules.txt..... Several Advances didn't interact right I guess.... But the problem is fixed now...... I reinstalled the patch, Scenario is working on that too... Only one problem still remains..... The AVI command in the events file..... Hopefully I'll get it fixed.....
