I have scanned the topics in this forum, and it appears that other than scenario writer issues, there are just a few topics:
(1) Extended original bugs before the patch
(2) Midgard problems near the end of play.
As a newbie, I'm trying to get decently good at the original game before trying the fantasy world. I've been studying it, and I have modified my describe.txt file to mention the comparable name of the fantasy wonder or improvement in the original game. I'm certainly going to dive in soon.
I've tried playing a bit as goblins and found things quite confusing. I'd like to hear from other players who are exploring the fantasy world.
(1) Is it fun? Sufficently different from the original game?
(2) Are the multi-map problems and potentials really interesting?
(3) Is it really interesting to play various races and deal with their advantages and disadvantages?
(4) If you've tried both, which do you prefer: the fantasy world or LaLande?
(5) Etc.
COMMENTS PLS...

I tried a game of fantasy the other day as the Merfolk. Its fun to escape enemies by simply switching maps, its almost too easy! Of course, as the Merfolk, you must stay near the water if you want to escape.
I still haven't played the other games all that much, but they are fun.
