John, please, EXACTLY what are the auto upgrades in the fantasy game? Support Apolyton, buy GURPS/ Alpha Centauri

My other thread on this subject produced some intetesting algorithm data. But I want to know EXACTLY all the upgrades that can happen in the fantasy game, for each tribe. Surely this was determined during playtesting. So far I have exerienced one:

(1) Merfolk discovery of blackpowder upgrades catapult to bombard.

The upgrades in the fantasy game are as follows:


  1. With the discovery Blackpowder: Catapults upgrade to Bombards.
  2. With the discovery of Astrolabe: Longboats upgrade to Dragon Boats.
  3. With the discovery of Summon Ice Drake: E Rider; S Night Rider; H Ranger; I Horseman; G Crag Wolf; B Mtn. Giant; all upgrade to Ice Drakes.
  4. With the discovery of Weirding Call: I Elephant upgrades to I Baba Yaga.

This, of course, only happens if your civilization builds the Sacred Rune Of Alteration wonder.
