	Finally!... But what do I do now? Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

I finally got my hands on MPG, a brand new poster, a never touched manuel... So far, so good... I've installed it, but what do I do now? I've seen !'s ICQ-list, do I contact those people or do I add my number and wait till they contact me?

I want to play!

First... download the latest patch from this site. Everybody in the game must have the same patch or technical problems will just nail you.

Second, post your intent to play (kind of like you just did)
It does help to post in advance a time and date... plus, the settings you would be willing to play.

ICQ is a good idea... as you play a few games, players will start adding you to their "surf for game list"...
Post your ICQ on the list...
Also, surf threads where people are looking for games. A good way to meet people is to volunteer to sub for somebody.

Don't you find it hard to find a game without ICQ?
I remember before many of had ICQ all the hassles of posting a time, emailing the IP address to everybody so you didn't have to post it in a public place... the problems when tech problems bumped somebody from a game and having to organize a restart...
I remember when MWHC first got ICQ, and was singing it's praises, and many of us were stubborn about getting it...

So just how do you do it

Well Rimmer and I met at the zone and had a game. He isn't very good because I won.

I have the same problem as him - I can't get icq on my computer because my dad won't let me change the settings of his machine. It does make life difficult.

icq allows you to set up multiple users on the one computer
