Please pardon my ignorance/newbieness if this bug has been touched on/cured previous. However, I'd really love an answer!
Bascially, when playing ToT in the ordinary Original game this bug occurs. For no reason the transcendence animation will pop up (you know, guy being sucked up into a glowing cloud) and the game will proclaim my victory, even if I'm not the most powerful player, and the game isn't even close to the end. This has happened on several occasions, and I was wondering if anyone's come across it/knows of a solution?

The patch may NOT cover it!
I got this problem even using the patch. To absolutely avoid this problem (with the patch anyway): after you really win a game, exit all the way from civ2 befre starting the next game.
