Sometimes it's difficult for someone new to Civ to find someone with experience to play a game with, and teach aspects at same time.
Not that I'm the greatest, but Saturday around 6:00 p.m. central time, I'll make myself available to any newbies who would like to play.
I'll set it for King and 2x.
Post here if you're interested.
If even one says yes, I'll be there.
More than 6, and I think I can find a second host.

You'll have nothing to do with them by helping make them better,
why would they want to have anything to do with you, once they ARE better?

Yes, it was good.
More people involved, or wanting to be involoved than I expected.
Had 2 on hand trying to join and couldn't due to patches and such.
After the game was underway, many message kept arriving via ICQ; asking would there be another session.
Said sure to all.
The flood of messages contributed to my crash, I think.
Maybe not, as this is a wheeze box I'm using.
My cable connection usually holds up well though.
Still, no problems afterwards, and I had ICQ turned to invisible.
Anyway. Thanks for coming to the game.
We'll do it again.
