I feel 'dirty' when playing the Fantasy and Sci-fi games, it doensn't feel right when I'm not playing actual civilizations, it's sacreligious i tell you.

If it really bothers you that much, why don't you go into rules.txt and change the names of the civilizations?

Changing your civ's name in the Fantasy game messes with the events. Things happen like:
Not being able to build units
No Hero unit
No Griffin after Griffin Culture Advance
and best of all: et cetera!

But then again, that too could be changed. With some work, you can overcome these problems. Sure, it might take time to change every reference to Elves to Babylonians, but if it makes you feel better about playing the Fantasy game, I'd sure do it.

Civmaniac: This would affect Sci-Fi as well. The Event file there uses specific civilization names too.
