Some more questions:

Do you need a Gravitic Grid to get to Nona? And what are the regular techs that the Aliens need to research Unification Theory? Is that the only tech you need to get from the Aliens?

1. No, you can use Dropships

2 & 3. Yes. however, they all get it if you get Artificial Gravity (or something like that as humans) and using the Great Library equivilent you can get it that way.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

In the fantasy game, there seems to be no bonus for a trade route that switches maps. The sci fi game may do the same.
