I have landed on AC very early.
Knocked the Aliens senseless, but left them with about 5 cities.
The other tribes on earth are only just building railroads, and I'm on 'Future Tech 15' or so.
I cant communicate with the aliens with a spy,and they've got no technology to steal, so I can't see how I'm gonna research all the yellow alien technology and reach transcendence.
I have started to give the Egyptians all my knowledge in the hope they too will get to AC, but this will take ages.
If the tribes are slow on earth, are the Aliens also slow? and must I wait until they have researched upto the 'yellow alien technology' and get a spy to steal it?
I could destroy all the other tribes in 2 or 3 turns, but I love this part of the game, and don't want to. Perhaps I have bullied the other tribes too much. They have 3 cities each, and 'bugger all' money.
Any help appreciated.

But then, the patch never really did solve the problem did it??? You'd have to edit the rules.txt in this case, if the patch doesn't work and give Ultrastring Theory reasonable prereqs, like say... Fusion Power and Stealth or something like that...
