Had to dig deep to find the old setting up IP games thread, so I guess it's time for a new one.

I'll be at Ming's tonight looking for a game in the 7-8 central time range.

And I'll be looking tomorrow night a little earlier.

Thanks again for waiting. After the two "difficult" starts, the game ended up being as close as possible (according to the powergraph anyway). We should try to continue this one. Maybe Ming will let someone else build a wonder before it's over.

Yeah, the first game was really quick. When War's chariot found my capital I knew it wouldn't be long... I was hoping a warrior fortified on a mountain would at least stand a chance The civ destroyed message did surprise me since I did have a non settler still on the board?

sorry about the other night fellas...... Shaw whom took over for Rogers did some "upgrading" in my area to improve the service.

Needless to say i wasn't impressed especially since it was the best start i have had in weeks

You would think these upgrades would happen in the wee hours of the night......

I also thought it was an interesting game.

I got boxed in by Bird and Ming early in the game, but the small territory I did claim was good. It had 2 gold mountains, 2 whales, 2 banana patches, 1 corn field, 1 buffalo range, 1 iron mountain, 1 silk patch and alot of river squares. I finally got a ship out to search for new land, but I suppose most of the small map is full by now.

I think that the Leo's Workshop upgrades would keep me safe for awhile, so I am willing to continue the game.

Let me know if you want to resume next Saturday or during the week.

War4, sorry to hear that. Yes you were doing well. We waited a while then continued on without you.

Epik, My weeknight play has been curtailed since my wife injured her knee. The injury has dragged and dragged out. Since that was the first saturday game that ming has been in in 4 months, continuing will be difficult. Which is too bad since I was cruising. Even when I pumped for wltkds, I was still getting techs every 4 turns. When I dropped it back, I was getting 2 techs every 3 turns, (not including trade bonuses). That was my best imitation of Markusf's stratagy in a while.
