Anyone use IE 5 for their browser? Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Now that I'm using cable, I'm also using IE 5 for Mac. The odd thing is that all the page frames are different from what I saw in the AOL browser or in IE 4.5. Is some thing different about IE 5 or is there a setting so that I can view the Forum pages correctly? All frames are now sized and centered the same. For example, when I first enter a Forum site, the topic column is much narrower that it used to be and only holds 14 characters before wrapping around. The entire image (6 columns) is centered and only fills about 4 inches of the page. The Post It page (where I am now) has two very wide columns of equal width and the Message window is much smaller and shoved over to the right of the page.

Any suggestions? Use Netscape, maybe?

Right on! IE came with my cable set-up and I refuse to use it. For ... personal total antipathy reasons. Stuck with good old Netscape Communicator - browser, email and news, etc, all in one. You can probably adjust the IE frame and text choices in the preferences menu. But why bother? Join the Happy Netscape Team!

Hmmm. Netscape 6 PR1 seems to be a mixed bag. The window, frames, light bulb and folder icons all work correctly now. However, the pages seem to load slowly and worse yet my MS IntelliMouse Explorer doesn't work except as a single button mouse. Additionally, when using the scroll bar/arrows the page move VERY slowly. Hopefully there are some Preferences that can fix this (hasn't helped yet). Maybe Netscape 6 PR1 isn't quit ready for prime time yet?

What's Netscape 6 PR1? I use good old Communicator 4.6. Not the slightest trouble. Goes like the clappers.

I assume that's something different than the American slang expression "the clap?"

Most definitely. "Going like the clappers" is akin to "going like a Bondi tram", or "like a dose of salts", and so on. Okay?
