Multiple files scenarios on a Mac? Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

Has someone expirience with this? A civer mailed me that he would like to play my scenario Imperium Romanum, but couldnīt, because he has a Mac, so the DOS .bat files that setup the scn canīt work. Ok, he could do all the copy/rename/delevent actions manually, but this is a lot of work, since my scenario uses multiple events, rules and units.

I remember a discussion here (donīt know exactly which forum) about RedFront, which also uses such multiple game files (an DOS setup files). Is there a solution that replaces the .bat files with something similar for Mac civers?

"Wulf" wrote a Delevent script for Red Front (see Civ2 Mac Page or Wulf's Delevent page. He has some details and explaination of the script posted.

Here is one of the old related threads: http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum32/HTML/000109.html You can find some others by searching for "delevent."

Hope this helps.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Thanks, MacUser. The Delevent thing mentioned in the thread you specified is a good help, but what do the mac civers for replacing the DOS .Bat files that copy or rename rules or events?

For example in my scn, there are three different .bat files (one for each playable civ) that setup ten events files, nine rules files and four units files. The player has to save the game after a given number of turns, run the setup file again (to generate the next set of events/rules/units and use delevent.exe on the savegame) then reload, and continue playing. Can this be done on a Mac, and how? Otherwise the player has to do these things manually...
