I'll buy it no matter what. Even though I don't even know what exactly it is (dino civilization? TBS? RTS?...). But if it is in the "Sweep of Time" (or something like that consisting of civ 3, SMAC, and dino), it should be good.

I really do not know enough to determine how much I am looking forward to this game to say whether I will buy it or not. But I assume it will be good and I will buy it.

I'm sorry, I'm a new poster here, but what exactly is "DinoCraft"? I realise from the context that these are ideas that have been discussed before, but what are they? Is DinoCraft just the RTS version of the idea? It is already pretty clear that it will be an RTS from the info I've read on Firaxis's web page, so why would there be an alternative? Please explain.
For the record, I will probably buy it.

Nope I won't buy, not that it looks like a bad game; but dinosaurs, if I got it I'd probably play it for a couple of hours, and put it away. I don't know but dinosaurs carry absolutely no interest for me.

Well, remember that dinosaurs are really just window dressing.
What really counts is the gameplay, not the shape of the pawns that execute it.
Though I do still like dinos. :>

Definitely wait and see.
Some of the concepts sound interesting... although they are going to have to work really hard on 'connecting' the player to their game, and not using latin terms/names will probably be a good idea.

Undecided... I was never a dino fan, even as a grade-schooler and I fail to see how this (dinosaurs) has any-thing to do with a "Sweep of Time Trilogy"... wasn't the concept of the trilogy to make 3 interconnected games that your play in the previous game determines how you start off the next game. How is building a grand dinosauric empire the becomes extinct going to help you in civ3 (assuming that dino is the first game. I can see, tho, that with tweaking SMAC (making the alien life-forms little lizards instead of fungus combined with the "transcendence" [YUK] end-game)how Dino can be the last episode in the series. SO, i say again I will need to wait before i decide if I am going to buy this game... if RTS i am leaning toward no... if TBS then i lean toward yes.

I'm not planning on buying it, but seeing as how it's Sid Meier we're talking about here, I'm not going to rule it out either. Dinosaurs hold very little appeal to me, but if it's more of a scientific evolution game that carries us from prokaryotes to dinosaurs and has a few scantily clad women prancing around every few eons, I might reconsider.
