I'm playing the Scots (since I hail from there originally) and the English are North of me. They were massing some forces near my Northern border so I offered them a trade treaty if they withdrew. They accepted and I was pleased. Of course like the back stabbing sasenachs they are, they are now wandering about my country like they own it. This is just too close to real history for confort. Time for Willy Wallace to do some cleaving of English heeds!

I'm English myself, but when I get it I'm going to change their name to the British, so that'll mean I'm the English and the Scots too. For the sake of realism I'll hope I don't run into the Scots or Welsh as it'll mean fighting "myself".
Will I be able to ensure that this doesn't happen? Can you choose which enemy Civ'll populate the world or is it random?

"Damn Scotts!"
Ok, I think this is a bug. I'm playing the Americans. And the Scottish are nearby. Suddenly they just landed 15 units all over my land, and set up fortifications right next to my cities. I go into Diplomacy and Ask Friendly "Withdraw your troops"
and they AGREE!!!!
yet... 10 moves later... they are still there... and now there are more of them!
BUGGGGGGGGGGGGG!
