Muwahahahaha!
Foolish Actigrammers, the jokes on you.
With an $80 (+GST) price tag, I've been taken out of contention.
And with questionable reviews, I'll be waiting for some time it seems.
But in the mean time:
I've printed out all the ctpII screenshots and cut out each land tile.
I've also cut out all the units.
If you take the land tiles, throw them over a table top and put them together -presto! It's instant Table-Top Civ.
The best part about Table-Top Civ is that I am truly in control:
- Phalanx beats tank? I say no-way! We replay the battle.
- Other Civs are being jerks? I make them bow to my demands! The diplomacy options are endless.
- So far I've spent about $2 on printer paper. Now worlds await my creation.
I vote that Table-Top Civ be given it's own forum. Think about it - together we will conquor worlds!

ok everyone I figure if we all chip in a couple bucks we can buy a copy and send it to him before it's too late. I hate to think what's going to happen when he tries to recreate the wonder movies.
