GIANT FUTURE METROPOLIS- has 600,000 people Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

I don't get the new city sizes in CTP2. In CTP1, the number of citizens increased when you hit the modern/genetic/diamond ages.

However, in CTP2 there are 10,000 people per 1 pop throughout the whole game. Meaning it is impossible to have a city of just 1 million people! So modern empires only have around 5 million in them!

The maximum number of people you can have is 600,000! That barely classes as a city, let alone a metropolis.

Does this annoy anyone else? Or am I just insane ?

This makes no sense... what's the point of theses lines in const.txt

SCALED_POP_ANCIENT 10000
SCALED_POP_RENAISSANCE 10000
SCALED_POP_MODERN 100000
SCALED_POP_GENETIC 1000000
SCALED_POP_DIAMOND 5000000

I've not checked out your claim, it does sound fishy though... actually I don't think I ever gone past renaissance age... Just a lot of too that level and then I'm winning to much that I don't finish.

I've played into the Genetic Age, and have found out that this is just more leftover code from CtP1.

Medium sized cities today have 600000 people in them, so I think that 1 population point should equal 100000 people. This would make the score box fixed as well since it says:

Cities w/ Pop <300000
Cities w/ Pop 300000 - 1000000
Cities w/ Pop 1000000 - 3000000
Cities w/ Pop 3000000 - 5000000
Cities w/ Pop >5000000

Or something along those lines. I think this should be considered in the next patch.
