If you have diplomatic relations with them (and you haven't turned Bloodlust on), then sign a Peace Treaty with them, followed by an Alliance. Wait a couple turns, and it'll be over.
If they refuse to sign either treaty (and they probably will), threaten to declare war. With your overwhelming strength, they'll almost certainly go along. Using an angry tone seems to work better for me than being magnanimous.
