Should there are more improvements to fight pollution? Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Yes, I think there should be more city improvements to fight pollution. Pollution is a serious matter in the game, which can lead cities into riots and rebellion. Worse of all, it can endanger the enviroment contribute to gobal warming. Here is the list.

Sewage System -5% From Production and population

Garbage Disposial Cen. -15% From Production

Recycle Plant -30% From Production

Public Transportation -30% From Population

Subway -15% From Population

Eco-Transit -40% From Population

Matter Decomposer -40% From Production

Total -90% From Production and population

(note*I decrease the Matter Decomposer, and Eco-Transit by 10%)

Perhaps these may make the game more realistic while making the civ happier.

I'm the opposite to you mate. I think there should be more and earlier pollution. Untill the industrial revolution there's no pollution problems. I want my early citys to have unhappiness from population pollution so I have to limit them. As it stands I just keep 'em growing with no problems.

So that's why i created this list. You see, these improvements are likely to be invented in the industrial, and modern era. A new way of life!!!

Well it's true what I said. In the early stages of the game, because of the happiness model it's so easy to make cities continuously grow. If population pollution hit early and heavier, then happiness would be an issue.

As for your suggestions, they look alright on paper, but it'll be interesting to see how they play. Personally, I'm nervous about anything that has the potential of lowering pollution.

The pollution in CTPII, is like none the world has ever experienced. Pollution plays a far to large part in the game. Also, early pollution, ie waste, should take the form of plagues etc.

I think the net effect of CTP2's pollution scheme is that the player is sort of forced into choosing Ecotopia as his government for the end-game. (Coupled with the Central Matter Decompiler, of course!)

I found that even under Ecotopia, I still had to lower the work day to '6 hours' to minimize pollution enough so that the Eden Project would not destroy 3 of my own cities!

Boy, I love nano-cleansing.
