Ok so don't ask me to regurgitate everything that was on the last thread who knows what happened to it...
Basically here's how it works:
We have hexagon tiles and each tile is stored as a 32 digit binary number indicating the terrain type. Information is stored for the following:
Terrain type
Elevation
Temperature
Feature (rocky/smooth)
Precipitation
Rivers
Vegetation
Fertility
Minerals
In addition to this the map tracks fault lines and jet streams for use with hurricaine and earthquake data.
To make a map the thing is started off the old fashioned way, by drifting and eroding continents over millions of years. I will have more later but right now I'm really tired...

Is there any way we can get back the posts in the previous thread? Has anyone tryed to mail Mark or Dan? We had put a lot of work into that old thread.
